This past weekend, our parish came together for an evening of delicious food, spirited competition, and community generosity at St. Vital’s Annual Spaghetti Dinner & Night at the Races, hosted by the Knights of Columbus.
The event kicked off with a hearty spaghetti dinner, bringing friends, families, and fellow parishioners together over a shared meal. Plates were piled high with perfectly cooked pasta smothered in delicious red sauce and parmesan cheese, and lest we forget, homemade buns. For those who still had room left over, the ice cream table in the back of the hall beckoned to be visited!
After dinner, the excitement ramped up with our highly anticipated Night at the Races, where our very own Parish youth took center stage, competing in a high-stakes horse race. Attendees cheered on their favorite competitors, placing their bets in good fun, all in support of a great cause.
The children who participated in the races received well-earned prizes, and all proceeds from the event went to The Mustard Seed, helping to support those in need in our wider community. It was a powerful reminder that, through faith and fellowship, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
A heartfelt thank you to the Knights of Columbus for organizing this fantastic event, to all our volunteers who made the evening possible, and to everyone who attended and contributed. Your support and generosity continue to make St. Vital a vibrant and caring parish family.
Until next year—may the best horse win... again!
